| Description |
Pallas Athena stands at right facing Fortuna. The goddess of war, who sprung from her father Zeus's forehead uttering a war cry; is usually depicted wearing a high crested helmet, carrying a shield and sword. She acquired the epithet Pallas after having killed a giant by that name. Athena has a connection with the goddess of Fortune, who holds her trademark cornucopia, in that both deities presided over victory in military and athletic contests. This beautiful ring, with its glittering diamonds, is a perfect setting for two lovely and powerful deities of Mount Olympus.
